1943

The war clouds still darken this Christmas Eve;
Instead of rejoicing, many will grieve.
But this Hope springs eternal over the world;
The banner of peace will soon be unfurled.

In spite of the hardships of the war;
The Matthews clan is happy so far.
The stork delivered two parcels this year;
Dean and Linda to add Christmas cheer.
